We take pride in stocking and maintaining a variety of garden elements for use in our landscape installations. A unique selection of evergreen trees and Japanese maples are grown and styled as niwaki/庭木 (niwa=garden, ki=tree) to enhance the traditional Japanese aesthetic of our projects. In addition to our trees, our stone yard is stocked with carefully selected, locally sourced granite boulders. We also offer our own custom, handmade copper "bamboo" spouts, available for purchase as part of professional installation of a traditional Japanese water feature. A selection of hand-carved granite lanterns and ornaments are available for individual purchase or as part of a landscape installation. For questions regarding pricing and availability, please contact us at info@iwakurajapanesegardens.com.
Granite Ornaments
Hand-carved by certified master stone masons, these imported granite lanterns and basins are crafted in traditional Japanese styles and add an authentic and elegant feel to a garden space. Lanterns are a simple but strong focal point in a Japanese garden. Basins can be paired with traditional bamboo or copper "bamboo" spouts to create a beautiful stand-alone water feature or as part of a larger garden.

Copper Water Spouts
We proudly hand-make these kakehi-style spouts entirely out of copper, and pair them with the appropriately sized stone wash basin in our water feature installations. Japanese water spouts are traditionally made of larger bamboo, a product that is readily available, replaceable, and very affordable in Japan and warmer climates of the U.S. In Ohio, these copper versions make a beautiful alternative that will last for many years in the landscape. Rather than deteriorating with age, they take on a patina that enhances the feeling of antiquity that's cherished in the Japanese garden.

Garden Trees/Niwaki
Trees play an important role in a Japanese garden. Smaller trees are often used to accomplish the correct scale with the various other elements throughout the garden. Trees that are often referred to as ornamental trees can be used as focal points, backgrounds, and visual screens. Evergreens are often pruned and styled to maintain a very detailed appearance and smaller size. We source and train our own niwaki trees so we can create truly unique and authentic Japanese landscapes.
