Walter Reins is the owner of Iwakura Japanese Gardens and has been a green industry professional for over 25 years. As a Certified Arborist and Horticulturist, his experience spans the nursery, landscape, and tree care professions, and he is directly involved in all aspects of work at Iwakura Japanese Gardens. Walter's life-long interest in Japanese culture led to an opportunity to live and work as a gardener in Japan at a 3-acre private garden. That life-changing experience, along with visits and self-study at over 100 gardens throughout Japan became the inspiration for Iwakura Japanese Gardens. It is his hope to re-create and share with his clients the beauty, inspiration, and peace he discovered in each of those gardens while living abroad.
